About Me

Hi I’m Gia 😊✨ I just moved to Athens from Melbourne, Australia and am so excited to have some European adventures this year. So far, I’m loving living Athens and learning to speak Greek – it already feels like home with the endless energy and life filling the streets.

I like to make very few plans and just see what happens, I feel like the best adventures generally seem to find you. I can’t wait to meet some gorgeous people on my travels. I love exploring both cities and nature, and am down for most adventures.

I work remotely part time as a graphic designer, and so I seem to end up sitting in cafés for half my week, but when I’m not working I’m usually at the beach or a cocktail bar or finding some hole in the wall spot for good tacos. I can’t wait to meet you 🌈🥰💖

Current favourite book: If You Want To Make God Laugh
Favourite movie: The Green Book 🥺😭

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I always say yes to the most ridiculous situations, relying on blind luck most of the time. My last trip consisted of:
- packing for 2 weeks but staying for 5 months
- my friends dangled me off a boat in a hammock in shark infested waters (don’t worry, they were little ones) as I splashed my feet in to try to meet the ocean puppies
- talked someone from my hostel into driving me 8 hours in their van into the outback
- went SUP with the (freshwater) crocs 🐊
- climbed a 30m waterfall with no gear, to which my companions asked how long I’ve been a climber, to which I replied “since today”. The fear set in when I reached the top and realised I would have to climb back down!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think if I have anything to teach anyone, it’s that when you’re positive and excited about life and stay open minded, you’d be so surprised at what life brings to you 🌞💫 also, be kind to yourself and others - if you can make the world a more beautiful place, why wouldn’t you?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good vibes 🧚🏽‍♀️ I also love to cook vegan food from a variety of cuisines and find so much joy cooking with others. I can also teach you some Greek, and potentially host you in Athens when the time comes 🇬🇷
