About Me

Hi, my name is Georgia and I completed studying Psychology and Italian at the University of Western Australia two years ago. I decided to take a couple of gap years (or as I like to call it, "a couple of well deserved years") from my studies to explore the world. I love to travel as I believe it teaches you lessons about culture, friendship, tolerance, and decreasing your ethnocentrism that you could never obtain from merely reading a book. One day I hope to become an organisational psychologist, as I've always been drawn to a career that gravitated around helping people. However, for now I would like to focus on exploring the world and hopefully becoming a better person, so that I can eventually become a kick ass psychologist with hopefully at least a Frew (pun intended) bad ass stories up her sleeve. Can I think of many other "good" puns at the moment? I'm a Freud not... However, the night is Jung.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing as I enjoy meeting new people and not only forming new friendships, but also learning from other people's perspectives. I'm also on Couchsurfing as I can truly appreciate the unique outlook on a city only a local can give - from hidden gems, to subcultures you never knew existed. I look forward to returning to Perth and showing other Couchsurfers some cool spots around Perth, which I'm willing to bet weren't in the Lonely Planet guide.
