About Me

I'm a chilled out person who loves to get involved in and try heaps of new things. Things I'm passionate about are the environment, veganism, human rights and feminism. I'm not all serious though! My favourite things to do are being in the outdoors, writing, exploring, eating amazing food, bicycling and being with friends.
I've recently become obsessed with markets and have always been obsessed with finding the best food and drink around...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel on a budget and meet local people where I'm going :) I think it's the best way to experience the real side of a life in a place rather than just the typical tourist experience.
Would prefer to stay in households with at least one other female.
I think hosting a stranger is an amazingly generous thing to do and I'm excited to meet these wonderful people who open up their homes to travelers!
Will definitely host others when I have a stable place to live myself in London.

Interests

I often have 3+ books on the go, am watching a few shows and listening to a lot of different music. Chronic multi-tasker...

  • writing
  • music festivals
  • salsa dancing
  • bachata
  • environment
  • human rights
  • womens rights
  • dining
  • traveling
  • live music
  • outdoor activities
  • history
  • vegan food

Music, Movies, and Books

I have pretty varied taste - like most music except metal, country and drum n bass.
I like most movies except action.
For books, I'm a bit more of a snob and prefer literary fiction :O but it's still pretty broad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived on a boat for 6 months, traveling with my family around the Mediterranean! I loved experiencing the smaller towns and living in each place the way that locals did.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very happy to teach some vegan cooking or help if you're learning English.
I'm currently learning Spanish myself (very slowly!) and always interested in picking up other languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great vegan cooking and enthusiasm :)
