About Me

I'm a humble traveler from the USA seeking new friends, new adventures, and new cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling throughout Iceland and Europe in the next month. But that's not really why I want to couch surf. I had not heard of couch surfing until about a year ago when one of my new friends told how he hosted couch surfers in New Orleans and loved the experience of meeting new people and helping travelers out. I love the idea of a shared hospitality between travelers and getting to meet locals. When I'm back in the states, one of the first things I plan to do it set up my own house for surfing.

Interests

I like hiking, music, BEER, reading, hanging out in coffee shops, and people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am obsessed with Early American folk music and country- people like Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams: they're the bomb! In general, I love any excuse to go to a music festival.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not a stranger to the new and unusual. I've spent 8 months living outside in the Mojave Desert in California becoming a desert rat. I lived out of my car for 3 months in the backwoods of Northern California in the Klamath National Forest. I've traveled all up and down the north west coast and have lots of crazy stories and insider tips.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my passions in life is playing the banjo and singing. I love historic/folk songs from all areas- westerns, Celtic, English. And old stories of heros, mythical creatures and love are my favorite.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A different perspective on life, a laugh, and hopefully a beer! Everyone is unique and crazy in their own way and I'm no different. So cheers to traveling and meeting strangers

Countries I’ve Visited

Iceland, Jordan
