Overview
About Me
Hi there, I'm Georgia from California, US. I am a 22-year-old fresh graduate from University. I wanted to expand my world view through global education before settling into my career. In school, I studied psychology. I like to meet new people, experience new things and explore new places. I love to travel and would be more than happy to host if anyone were to come to the San Fransisco, Bay Area!
On a more personal level, I am exploring the world to develop more as a person and find what makes me tick to help guide me for the future. I have been traveling around southeast Asia for 3 months using Workaway to meet locals and connect with their working world. I will be moving onto Europe starting in Greece in mid-May. I am super into cooking, wine, photography, movies, hiking, dancing and meeting new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel I seek to experience the real culture of the places that I visit. I love meeting new people and experiencing how they live their daily lives to see the differences. Through living with locals I get to experience new traditions and daily activities that I could have never dreamed of doing. Couch surfing is a unique solution to make traveling a more realistic and budget-friendly experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently went to a Buddhist Monastery in Ma Hon Song for 5 full days for a silent retreat. Here I focused heavily on meditation, learning about the Buddhist religion and silence. Out of my 5 days, I wore a silent badge for 3.5 days. It was a difficult experience and just one of many things I have tried with an open mind to expand my world view.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have many experiences to share! Though I am young I try new things every day and it has wound me up with some pretty cool stories to exchange. I am bubbly and love to have a real conversation to get to know other people and hear about what makes them unique. I love to cook, play with animals and learn so I am up for any task.
