My boyfriend and I both live in Leeds, UK for the past six years.

I worked full time as a singer and musician, performing at events all around the UK. I also taught music to children. My boyfriend Louis is a full time chef with an appetite for exploring new world foods and culinary history. I am passionate about music, fashion and pop culture and we are both animal lovers.

From April to July 2018 we took a job on board a cruise ship to work as a musical duo for three months. We did this in order to save up all of our money to emabrk on a big adventure, travelling the world together.

We started in Japan in October for three weeks, hiring a camper van to explore areas less travelled as well as one week visiting the main cities by bullet train. It absoutley blew our minds! Then we moved through Vietnam and Cambodia.

We are now in Thailand and absolutely loving the food and people here!

Our plan is to cover South East Asia and then head eventually to Australia.

Food and Culture is definitely at the core of our travel experience and we love nothing more than eating local street food and taking in the beauty of stunning architecture and places of worship.

We can both be very social but we also value our quiet time. We are definitely not party animals and would always choose a chilled out early evening drink over a night club.

Our adventure is still in its early stages and we have so much more of the world to see.

We think couchsurfing will help us to meet inspiring and interesting people as well as living a more down to earth, authentic life on the road.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We would love to stay with locals and meet new people with similar interests. We feel this would add an unforgettable element to our trip - mixing with locals!

Music, Movies, and Books

Louis and I are both musicians and love a wide range of musical styles, bands and artists. We are big hip hop fans and recently saw NAS in concert in Leeds - it was amazing! I am also a huge fan of folk artist Laura Marling, soul singer Emily King and Amy Winehouse. We have a wide range of knowledge when it comes to music and would love to introduce our hosts to new music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Georgia - I travelled to Perth in Australia for one month on my 18th birthday to volunteer at a Radio Station there - it was a pretty big deal to me at the time. We ran a hugely successful campaign to provide blankets, sleeping bags and clothing to local homeless shelters.

Louis - I am a keen musician who has performed as a drummer in large ensembles around the world including America, Scandinavia and The Caribbean. We played Jazz, Swing and Big Band music in the Orpheum Theatre, Memphis Tennessee in front of a full house.

Teach, Learn, Share

We both have lots of musical knowledge and can share ideas for new music with you and maybe even teach you a little guitar or drums or singing!

Louis is in his element in the kitchen and would very much be happy to cook a meal for you or even teach you a few kitchen skills!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a singer and guitarist and Louis is a percussionist/drummer. We would be more than happy to share our musical knowledge with our hosts.

Louis is also a fantastic creative chef and he has promised me that he will happily cook a 'slap up' meal for our host (slap up meaning amazing!).
