About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To go places and to expand my comfort zone by being outside of it! Haha, to have a least ONE friend in every single country! :D
ABOUT ME
Hello there!
My profile is a work in progress!
PHILOSOPHY
Like I wrote above, I wonder what I am truly passionate about, what am I mentally and physically geared towards in life?
I guess I could say that my passion is to try things. If I initially don't like something or don't agree with someone, then I aim to look at the thing or person in question from a different angle. First impressions are something, but only offer 'some' thing; there's more to learn, and so it is a question of digging deeper and discovering what lies beneath the first impression.
I try to live (and want to live more) by the philosophy of not passing up an opportunity, as I wrote before, whether it be to engage in a new activity or meet someone.
I also believe that everything and everyone in connected in one way or another.
I value knowledge and wanting to know new things
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to couchsurfing and so I have no couchsurfing experiences...for now!
Interests
As I have written before, I love to travel, and I love hearing about other people's experiences travelling abroad and what they have learnt. But I also love food, eating and making it; I love listening to music, as well as talking about it; I love taking photos of things that incite curiousity as well as panoramas; I enjoy discussing philosophical topics and issues that affect the world; I love to read, and currently I am reading 'Sacred Economics' by Charles Eisenstein (it's a very good book!); I enjoy hiking, and I will try any sport even though I admit that I am not a very sporty person....my interests could go on and on, which they do, and maybe I'll remember some more when I get a couchsurfing host! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Gosh, there is so much literature, music and movies/videos that I could write here. But I will just list what I am currently enjoying:
I have really gotten into watching TED and TEDx videos online. They really inspire and generate loads of curiosity! Plus I have accumulated so much knowledge from different disciplines.I recommend these videos to anybody.
I am currently reading a book called 'Sacred Economics' by Charles Eisenstein. I read the first 5 chapters, and found so many ideas that just made sense to me, and so I started reading it from the beginning again, taking note of all these ideas so I wouldn't forget them. This book is about money and how our perception of it has changed over time and how our economy and society have become enslaved by it, depriving our lives, our world of meaning and connection. I could describe this fantastic book more, but really, the best thing I could do is recommend it to anyone who isn't convinced by how the world is functioning, and who sees that our economy and society could be functioning better if we valued things (connections with people; material things, raw and created; nature...) as sacred and unique.
Music? Well, like the previous two mediums, I listen to pretty much anything, but this depends entirely on my current mood.
You have a favourite artist, film, book, work of any particular medium? Share it with me and let's get the conversation going, the ideas and opinions sharing, and the knowledge spreading! :)
