About Me

My name's Georgia. I grew up and live in Melbourne, Australia. My family home is on the outskirts of Melbourne (about 45 minutes from the CBD), a place called Kangaroo Ground, and yes there are always plenty of Kangaroos on our property!

I went to University at RMIT which is in the CBD, during which, I lived inner city in Carlton and Fitzroy - in my opinion the two best suburbs to experience Melbourne properly. I'm currently back at home, house sitting my parents place and commute to and from work every day. An absolutely beautiful area if you want to experience some time out in the bush, see some wild life, be relatively close to wineries but still a reasonable distance from the city.

I work in advertising, which I absolutely love. Our office is in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.

I love playing sport, going out for a drink with friends and exploring Melbourne's endless offerings of the best food and coffee. I swear I'm not biased.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friends have done it through Europe. I didn't really know about it when I went a few years ago, but next time I travel, will absolutely try it. My family home in Melbourne, Australia is also a very different experience than complete inner city living, so could be perfect for a weekend if you're wanting to see some Kangaroos, the bush and visit some wineries.

Interests

I play hockey, I have since I was little. I love cooking, having dinner & wine nights with friends, going out for breakfast, lunch, dinner & everything in between. Have travelled a reasonable amount in Australia and Europe and can confirm there is nothing like Melbourne's Cafe culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have favourites. I like a lot of different things! Festivals are always fun, I like anything from Disney movies to Thrillers but not so into constant fighting or people's limbs being removed. The same goes for books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sky-diving would be up there!
