About Me
At the moment I am traveling after graduation, as I think this is THE time in life to get out there and see and do as much as possible. I just spent 3 months based on a random island in Australia and now I am working and staying in the south of NZ for some of the best landscape/ pie I have ever experienced. Im living in with a family here so unable to host at the moment, but when I return to Scotland i definitely will be, COME VISIT! It's also a beautiful place.
So I am pretty much addicted to the outdoors. Whilst traveling my favourite things to do are hiking, trail running, climbing, swimming, hitch hiking, camping... anything that doesn't involve a lot of money and resources but allows you to meet so many people and actually see the most beautiful parts of a country.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am Couchsurfing because I have found that it is the best way to meet interesting people whilst travelling. Its an opportunity to also gain some local knowledge of an area and get an insight into what the country is actually like to live in (not just to visit). I also just love to socialise with new, interesting and adventurous people and show them what my area has to offer. Scotland has amazing places to see that aren't easy to know about unless you live there. I want to share my experiences and be introduced to new things as much possible and couchsurfing is an idea platform for that.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love a bit of everything music wise; at the moment I enjoy 1950/60s feel good Motown: Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder etc... (so good to drive to) and also right now I'm into American and Canadian folk artists like the Sheepdogs, Shovels and Rope and Blitzen Trapper. I do also have a guilty pleasure for some chilled rap if I'm in the right mood: Biggie, the Roots and Jurassic 5. Also Moby, Mark Rohnson and Fat Freddie's Drop are some of my favourite car CDs :)
Movies wise is similar to my music taste, I love classic British Comedies and also cannot beat Lord of the Rings, I was brought up on those books and films :)
Books wise I am much more interested in travel writing and biographies than fiction. Writers like Bill Bryson and Naim Chomsky are brilliant political commentators. I have also enjoyed books on endurance sports like Iron War and Eat and Run. Jeffrey Archer also does really good short stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have cycled the length of the USA west coast from Mexico to Canada, unsupported, in 24 days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to help others learn a bit of English and would be very interested in improving my Spanish, Arabic and Persian skills with anyone who can offer knowledge of those languages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories, language, recipes, conversation, beer, music... my food:)
When I am back in scotland I can share with you some awesoem trail running routes, the best places to go camping, best places for food and icecream, as well as where I would recommend for cycling in Scotland- all of the above are great passions of mine :)
