About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I really have just this to say: In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground... etc
ABOUT ME
Well-travelled, good humoured, and intelligent. A love for the beauty of the world and very easy-going. Willing to make people laugh and share life adventures :)Sometimes I make people cry too, but never said I was perfect.
PHILOSOPHY
Just look at Monika's profile I can't be bothered to even cut and paste it right now, let alone verify its accurate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I usually just meet people for coffee and stuff, and I welcome people to do the same with me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Fairly good. Meeting new people in strange places is a sort of hobby of mine. I don't always rely on CS to do that, but it helps.
Interests
I am a real outdoors person, I love walking in the sunshine :) Especially hiking gum forests and along mountain ridges.
YET, I am a natural city-dweller, and I enjoy the convenience of a 7-11 on every corner. I am born and bred in the city, but love the call of nature and willing to go Bear Grylls at any given opportunity.
I really can't decide... am I a town or country mouse???
{I also like building forts - although admittedly, not that often}
- beauty
- coffee
- walking
- socializing
- outdoor activities
- hiking

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The burst of colours that flooded the sky as I watched the sunset, as dusk turned to pitch black night on the Bolivian Altiplano, surrounded by a mixed feeding flock of at least 500 Alpacas and lambs as they were gently herded into their pens for the evening.
Watching the ethereal mist rise over the mighty Mekong river at dawn, northern Laos, from a bamboo balcony, one of those moments in life when you really take heed of just where in the world you are.
My first glimpse of the majestic bright lights of the evening Melbourne skyline as I entered town over the famous Westgate bridge, after driving 2000kms - a five day journey - down from Brisbane, in an old '93 Subaru Leone wagon (and how she is missed now...)
