Honestly I have really wide-ranging tastes in all of the above, but to give a bit of an idea:
Books: River Town; The Illustrated Man; Grief is the Thing with Feathers; The Museum of Innocence; A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, What is the What, The Trial, Nothing to Envy, The Vegetarian, Paris Trance, A Sport and a Pastime, Lolita, The Master and Margarita

Music: in Istanbul I enjoyed seeing Deniz Tekin and Yasmine Hamdan live but I also like folk, country, jazz, rock & roll, jazz, techno, electronic, pop...

Movies: I watch anything that isn't a 'chick flick' but generally my favourites end up being thrillers, gangster films and documentaries. A classic phrase from my friends is 'I watched xxx film and it was really weird, you'd love it, Ayla'. Big fan of David Lynch and Wes Anderson.
