I love to cook and eat (generally simultaneously), drink booze, entertain friends, dance, and make adventures. I am fascinated by different cultures, and I love meeting new people and learning as much as I possibly can from them.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

When I'm travelling I like to try and surf where I can because it is such a nice way to meet new people and really get to know a place. I've hosted people at my home and I even ended up living with people I met through Couchsurfing in Italy. It's pretty damn great.

I was lucky enough to attend a retirement party (way more boisterous than it sounds) in my friend's home village in West Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. It was a Maasai village and as the only people from outside of the area we were treated as honoured guests. There were hundreds of people gathered from all the surrounding villages and the dancing and singing went on for hours. We then camped the night in my friend's family compound under the shadow of Mount Kili and a full moon, and spent hours learning about the intricacies of Maasai culture from our dear friend Daudi. This is the most amazing travel experience I have had to date.

In line with my love for cooking I will happily whip you up some kind of Australian delicacy during my stay.

I can also try to teach you how to speak with an Australian accent. This is always a hilarious undertaking. It's the "O" that gets everyone.
