About Me

#####
Hi, thanκs for reaching to this point.
At this moment house is really messy+cold (even a little bit dirty) and I'm very busy to bring it back to a not "Oh my Good!" situation so I do ***NOT*** host.
The only think I can offer at the moment (not that much really) is an ONE-TIME but... EXTENDED walk in MY FAVORITE places of historical center. It is definitely NOT "a guided walk" just one that I often do with my friends or just by myself (I really love this place). More of an excuse for "exchanging personal universes" while walking in a really beautiful place (unless you're really using travelling blogs this place is also pretty difficult to find). PS: This is a DAYTIME walk; 12noon-5pm would be great. It is better to enjoy those places with sunlight; have that in mind. Message me here if you are interested in that.

Youth is a state of mind; NOT a number.
I love sharing "my universe" with others; exploring "their universe" even more...

Hello there, this is Yiorgos (Georgios is the formal version).

Travelling+Photography are my LATEST passions...
I love nature (tropical jungles and highland mountains including); I'm enjoying hiking with every chance.
I love swimming in the sea (yes, I'm Greek) and snorkelling.
I love wandering around random streets of random cities; every corner a possible surprise.
I love cooking and I would like to learn to cook dishes from other countries.
Last but not least, I'm a music+cinema lover since childhood.

A few words from my "previous lives" to give you an idea: I had studied Physics and Computer Science (work as a "computer-science teacher in a public secondary school" in my country for the last 20 years) and classical guitar. I have participated in seminar-teams with subjects having to do with art: photography (I love taking photos), cinema (even act in amateur short movie films!), fine arts history (I love visiting art museums; I enjoy more paintings and sculptures), painting (I can not paint unfortunately...) etc. Maybe I'll be Leonardo da Vinci when I grow up...

I do NOT smoke. I enjoy drinking alcohol (especially beer; I love trying new ones each place I go) but for the taste and NOT for getting drunk.

If you reach this point reading, thanks for your time spend (I hope I did not already write too much!) If you're willing to learn something about me that I'm not mentioning above please feel comfortable to message me DIRECTLY.

"That's all folks"; enjoy your travels and your life in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have travel in "some" countries ("many countries" is an over-estimation since the world is so huge) trying to stay enough in each one to be able to feel it and love it a little bit. Travelling for such a lot of time is totally out of my country's culture (for example, it is pretty common for English or German or Australian people) as is staying in hostels and sharing the same room with people that you do not know. Of course, couch-surfing sounds even more crazy in Greek ears...

The more you travel the more you realize that there is nothing more important than getting in touch with the culture of the country that you're visiting.
As a traveler there is no better way to do this than have a LOCAL HOST who will be willing to share with you his/her culture.
When being a local host MYSELF maybe I can feel like I'm continuing my travels through people from other countries/cultures that are coming to stay with me.
CS seems like the most "inside-direct" way for travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I need to write down a "telephone book";
ENJOY sharing them with everybody who is INTERESTED.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living every NEW day as a precious GIFT...
Took a gap-year to travel Asia; enjoy it that much that I extended to 3 continuous years!

Teach, Learn, Share

As I said, I'm a teacher. "Teaching and Learning" is just the 2 different sides of the SAME coin; it is IMPOSSIBLE to love just one of them and ignore the other. ..

It comes very natural to me to share my PASSIONS IF there is somebody who is INTERESTED in them.
And I'm always EAGER to learn about the things that the people I meet LOVE; the things that make their life beautiful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The thinks I LOVE of course.
