Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I think meeting locals and how they live is a big deal while traveling, a chance to see the difference from other places and cultures more clearly. They same goes when hosting people from different places.

I don't expect that hosts will be travel guides or guests will be just lodgers . I rather hope I'll get a glimpse of a different viewpoint, finding cultural similarities and differences through these acquaintances.

Of course, it's also great to reduce traveling expenses and make it affordable to more people. Still, I don't see couchserfing as sleep-cheep-hostel opportunity. I expect a bit of interaction between host and guests, even if it's just for some hours. At your request to stay at my place please mention the keyword 'xanadu' so that I know you went to the trouble of reading this. Thanks!

my share of house cleaning, shopping. Also ID information, so that they know who they are hosting without doubts. I expect the same from people I am hosting.

>> Hopefully also:
- Share discussions about common interests and intercultural differences.
- Spend sometime together around the area, talk about its individual characteristics and history.
