Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now not much - I never hosted somebody or was hosted by someone. But I'm curious about it, since I met many Couchsurfes already on local meetings in Berlin.

Interests

There's two things that I'm interested a lot in:

First, I like languages - being raised bilingual I found it easy to learn new ones and from time to time I pick a new to learn until I raise a conversational level. I'm always curious which languages others speak and like to practise them. Currently, I am giving a try on Turkish.

The second is programming and computers. I like structuring things and building them from scratch and this is exactly what programming software allows one to do. Besides, the social changes caused by the Internet fascinate me a lot (which also brought a bit into caring about politics and becoming a member of the Pirate Party).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Puh, "amazing" sound so spectacular and action-packed.. What I liked a lot were 4 Volunteer Workcamps where I worked within international groups at different places during the summer. I met a lot of different people, everybody from another country and we all worked on the same thing. A very nice experience.
