I grew up in a small town up the Austrian alps. I lived and studied in Graz, worked in Salzburg, Graz and Hamburg. I'm a graphic designer and spend too much of my time in front of a computer.

I like to riding my bike, rockclimbing, taking pictures and travelling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on Couchsurfing for quite a while, but I have to admit my interest declined some years ago because of changes on the platform and in my personal life. I still love the idea behind it and have great friendships that emerged from Couchsurfing.

On our current trip through Russia we met two girls who brought up the topic and reignited my interest since we were told couchsurfing is alive and well in russia.

I surfed to Spain and Germany and attended wonderful meetings in Graz, Salzburg, Zurich, London, NYC, and Hamburg.

Interests

I love photography, but since I do it for work sometimes I also learned to enjoy the beauty in walking around without a camera.

I spent many years as a volunteer for the Red Cross EMS in Austria and recently switched departments to become a WASH technician and photo delegate. I hope to be deployed soon :)

I do cycling and climbing. I like how it's so physical and mentally challenging, plus the fun of hanging out with friends outdoors.

The last launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis, the birth of a baby while working for the red cross, a boatride with Leonie on Saltstraumen in Norway. Three things I'll never forget!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some stuff about photography (digital, 35mm, polaroid) and will be happy to go shooting some pictures with you.

I'm trying my best to learn russian. I hope I'll keep learning once I'm back home.

I'm still a big fan of cooking together while surfing. I can do some Austrian dishes :)
