About Me

I've studied translation, social anthropology and a MA and PhD in Applied Linguistics. Now in the middle of my postdoc and just hoping I'll survive it :D I work full time at the University of Barcelona but still manage to find time to get into new hobbies, learn a new language, and travel around whenever I can.

I love cooking, reading books, getting lost in cities and hiking anywhere that's green. I also really enjoy good talks (specially after a good meal...)

Just moved back to Barcelona after living in Canada for a year :)

Interests

Language and food, the two most interesting things you can learn wherever you go :D I also love hiking, going around by bike (mostly in the city now), dancing and chilling out at home watching a good movie (or binge-watching series). I also love traveling, obviously

Music, Movies, and Books

There are too many good movies to choose only one, but maybe the Untouchables and Seven psychopaths. I love Black Mirror, Dark, 1889, How I meet your mother...

As for music... on the relaxing side Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, Agnes Obel... and on the other hand Henry and the Waiter, Jeremy Loops, Walk off the Earth, Crystal Fighters and many others. And anything that makes you dance.

Books? Lots

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To feel the underground athmosphere of Tokyo (Japan), to feed wild monkeys at the temples of Ankor (Cambodia) and to see the sun rise in the shore of the Mediterranian sea after a good sleep in the Turtle beach in Menorca (Balearic Islands).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good food and good conversations while preparing and eating it (I love sharing recipes, specially local ones!).
