ABOUT ME

GERA:
Civil war and economic struggle made my family migrate from Lebanon in the 1930´s, settling in towns of northern Mexico.

Somewhat inpatient and anxious, always looking for answers and not always agreeing with generally accepted explanations. Semi-maniac, big critic, and highly interested in foreign customs. Usually open for other people`s ideas, realistic & almost never optimistic.

Recently got married to Lizeth, she has met a lot of CS fellow adventurers and loves the vibe these good travelers bring to our house.

LIZ:
Ballet dancer for over 20 years, graphic designer, running a stationery shop where I love to create printed paper invitations for all kinds of events.

PHILOSOPHY

Assuming is the mother of all f**k ups. So...
Never assume anything, Question everything,
Don´t believe in things just because they are written down.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted quite a few fellow surfers from Belarus to Argentina. very interesting and different personalities come to visit our city as a stop over for the Cooper Canyon.
My best CS experiences as a guest have been without a doubt in Iran where people whether or not members of CS are the most hospitable of all. I made real friends there, I truly believe everyone should have the chance to visit Iran.

Interessi

We like having long conversations and discussions about anything worth discussing, politics, religion (or lack of), life in general and of course traveling.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Mostly lots of trips.. ANY new place no matter if its near or not very exotic has offered something to remember. Perhaps the transsiberian train was the most amazing route yet, crossing vasts lands and then to top it all off the gobi desert. Met the most interesting backpackers there..

Travelers willing to share their toughts and life experiences will surely get the same from me. CS is about interaction not free beds.
As a host I´ll do my best to make guests feel comfortable, relax and welcome. As a guest, a respectful and active person ready to learn and share.
