About Me

Luckily, I have always been a traveler, from my family holidays accross Europe in the Volkswagen Van when i was a child, to my professional activities today. I have been living in several countries for years, mainly in South America (Chile, Cuba, Mexico) and Europe (France), and i also spent some long holidays in the US.

I have never been hosted and hosted anybody until now but it is something i have always wanted to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Only locals can show you the heart and soul of the place they are living, i love to do it with international friends when i am home, and would enjoy to meet Couchsurfers abroad to do it.

Interests

I am definitely a fan of nature, discovering beautiful landscapes, seing wild animals, during a high mountain hike, a long bike run in the forest or near a river, or diving.
I am so passionate about geography that i can stay hours in front of maps, or reading the name of the cities when having a car or bus ride.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am Trainspotting fan, and love to come back again and again to Edinburgh, Scotland.

Latin american music: from folklore from the Andes, to brazilian music. This music make me happy and lively !

Books: really liked AMERICANAH from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. It took me 5 months to read it in English but i finally did it. Like to travel through my readings, so more foreigners (Paul Auster, Leonardo Padura) than French litterature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Oruro Carnival in Bolivia, crazy, friendly, and so andean. Loved it. Want to do it again !

Teach, Learn, Share

To travel as a "voyageur" (traveller) and not as a tourist is not easy, but is what you keep in mind from a travel.
Write instead of taking picture, the writting memory is so rich that it will bring you millions of pictures and feeling you could never entirely have in an image.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think that what i most love in the travels is to be able to speak the country language, and even trying to get the local accent. I really enjoy talking to people i met abroad, and feeling that we are sharing languages, views, and tips about local food !
That's why i've been travelling mainly to Spanish speaking countries, and English ones. I still have so much to learn about languages, and so much to travel !
So i can definitely share words, and invitation to visit me in France, and to have a place to stay.
