Basic understanding of Maori, not fluent. Have a Kati Mamoe (an iwi) connection. Also a Jewish connection, so I am a bit of a mixture. Also a bit of a hippie, though more in my attitudes. A socialist at heart. A member of the Petone Community (part of the local city council) for 21 years, though not now. Have attended a number of rainbow gatherings. Currently one of the admins for the Facebook page and the focaliser (editor) of the Aotearoa rainbow family Newsmail (a publication). Also prepare the Lower Hutt Historical Society Newsletter. An interest especially in social history, that of the hippie years, communities and naturism. Organised and helped organise the annual ANZAC Day commemorations in Petone for almost 20 years. Have a love of permaculture.
