I'm Geraldine and I live in Lima, Perú. I decided to try CS because I think is a good way to know people and learn from them. However, I couldn't try it until the last year, during the time I lived in Spain, I took the risk :D I found it amazing and a great way to open your mind to new possibilities and options. Besides I could mix my love for traveling and the experience of meeting new people.

Sin embargo, no tuve la oportunidad de usarlo hasta el año pasado durante el tiempo que viví en España, donde me decidí a tomar el riesgo y probarlo. Encontré de CS una increíble manera de abrir de abrir la mente a nuevas posibilidades y opciones sobre el mundo en general. Además que pude combinar mi amor por viajar con la experiencia de conocer gente nueva.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS is a great way to get a firsthand experience of living like a local and share with someone from that country/city/region/community what your customes are and theirs.

I had the chance to use couchsurfing for the 1st time on August 2016 and it was a great experience. Gaby, who didn't care I haven't any reference nor couch experience before, accepted my request and spent the day showing me the city and just chatting. She was super kind and the person who supported me during my trip.

CS es la mejor manera de tener una experiencia de primera mano de cómo vivir como un local y compartir con alguien de ese país/ciudad/región/comunidad tus costumbres y las suyas.

Tuve la oportunidad de usar CS por 1ra vez en Agosto 2016 y fue una gran experiencia. Gaby, a quien no le importó que no tenía ninguna referencia ni experiencia en CS antes, aceptó mi solicitud y pasó el día conmigo mostrándome la ciudad y a veces solo conversando. Ella fue super amable y cordial y la 1ra persona en apoyarme durante mi viaje y la experiencia CS.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and I can listen to everything. I don't have any preferences but I love my country's music, such as folckore, afroperuana, criolla, boleros and so on... Personally, I like action, horror, comedy and drama films, but I'm willing to watch anything with a nice script 😬 When reading I like to disconnect from everything and I usually prefer drama, romantic and action stories... sometimes I prefer just check the sinopsis and decide at the moment.

Me encanta la música y puedo escuchar lo que sea. No tengo ninguna preferencia en particular pero me gustan las canciones típicas de mi país y algunas veces las canto con mucha pasión xD Personalmente, me gustan las películas de acción, horror, comedia y dramas pero estoy dispuesta a ver cualquier cosa con un buen guión o tema a desarrollarse. Cuando leo me gusta desconectarme de todo; por lo que prefiero dramas, romanticismo e historias de acción. Algunas veces simplemente veo la sinopsis del libro y me decido por el que me atraiga más :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travel through Italy, Germany, Austria and France for almost one month alone for the first time in my life...maybe not such a huge thing for many of you but it was something I've never though I would've done...
