Hi! I'm Gerard

I am from the Netherlands and I am nineteen years old. I was born and raised on a sheep farm. I am an outdoors person who likes to spend his time walking/hiking through forests and mountains together with my trusty binoculars.

Last year I spend three months in Norway, one and a half in Sweden and since October I am in Canada. This April I will go from Canada to Iceland and spend a month there before going back to the Netherlands.
Exploring these beautiful countries has been an amazing experience, and I learned so much in this time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I am traveling a lot, and I like meeting people form all over the world! Learning about new cultures and languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music from some classic rock, (progressive) metal, traditional folk music and recently I have gotten more and more into classical music.

I have read a lot of fiction, mostly fantasy and science fiction. Lately I have been reading more philosophical books, but also practical books.

I like pretty much all movies, as long as they are good ;)
