Overview
About Me
My name is Gerardo but most people call me Jerry. I work a 9-5, desk job, but my heart belongs to the outdoors and traveling. I love:
* Hiking - I've hiked in Yosemite and all over Southern California. I try to do at least one hike a week.
* Ocean - I like spending time at the beach but would rather be in the water snorkeling.
* Dancing - I typically go to Down Town L.A. for this and primarily enjoy Latin clubs, but I also love EDC music. Never been to a Rave, but I would love to.
* Other things about me - I enjoy new experiences, I'll try something at least once, meeting new people and learning their story. I have a motorcycle and am a little bit of an adrenaline junkie.
* Working out - When I cant be outdoors or traveling, this is my stress reliever.
I have traveled a lot within California but would like to travel to other places in the U.S. and other countries. I currently planning a trip around the world in 2018.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think like most, I want to meet new people, create new experiences and explore. I recently watched Kindness Diaries on Netflix and inspired me to travel more, meet new people, but most importantly, show human kindness. I feel Couchsurfing is a mean to to all of those things.
So, if you want to come visit L.A., I would be more than happy to host you. Whether you just need a place to crash and have your own itinerary or you would like a host to show you around. Just try to let me know at least one week in advanced.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - * EDC Music * Spanish Rock * Cumbia * Hip-hop * R&B *Reggaeton * Oldies * Country (just getting into it) * Really I listing to just about anything. I have 100 stations on Pandora
Movies: I don't watch to many but some of my favorites are * Hardball, *Into the Wild * Three Idiots (Bollywood movie) * Instruction Not Included * Any Jim Carey movie and I really enjoy documentaries
Books: I must admit, I don't do as much reading as I would like so I don't really have a favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is a tough one as the definition of amazing varies for everyone. However, under my definition, moving to L.A. by myself not knowing anyone and not being very familiar with the area.I want from having my family and friends nearby to not having anyone. It was like starting all over from scratch. It has been one amazing experience and I do not regret making the decision.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not quiet sure how to answer this but here is my go at it:
Teach: Let's see... Spanish, English, various workouts, Mexican culture, Aztec Dances
Learn: I would like to learn about other cultures, other people's stories, how to dance bachata and cumbia music better. I would also like to get tips on traveling
Share: I always love sharing my passion for the outdoors and local hikes. Any new experiences really.
