About Me
Hi everyone!
My name is Gerardo, I come from Mexico and I am currently studying abroad in Germany.
I am very interested on history and culture of pretty much everywhere, chances are that if I meet you I will ask something related to the local history and culture because I really enjoy and want to know more.
I love to meet people from all around the world, sharing anecdotes and experiences is something I really enjoy.
Learning something new everyday is something I like doing, I think there is so much information available these days, that the idea of staying ignorant should not be in anyone's mind.
As I find that my country needs a lot of promotion and visitors from this part of the world, rest assured that I will encourage you to visit my beautiful homeland. Mexico has something for everyone and I could gladly talk to you about it
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I see Couchsurfing as a fantastic oportunity to travel in a different way. Meet local people or fellow travelers which I find very interesting and enoying. In my experience, local people give the best advice when it comes to visiting a city, and CS is a perfect way of meeting them.
Get to know more about local traditions, food, culture, music, and share experiences together.
My little experience with CS so far is that you never know who are you going to meet, and they might surprise you with what they can tell you.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste really evolves over time, at the moment I like listening to indie rock like Alt-J or The neighborhood, I will always like old rock hits and my guilty pleasure is Coldplay. As a good Mexican I also like Mariachi songs and other Mexican artists.
Same as in Music, my taste for movies evolves over time, my all time favorite will always be Pulp Fiction, it just have perfect moments and incredible dialog. Blockbusters I watch just for entertainment but most of the time they are not worth watching again.
I am working on reading more books than I used to, I would recommend reading Cien años de soledad by Gael García Márquez, and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I fell from a little waterfall once, still in one piece
Climb El Tepozteco and Peña de Bernal (Very famous hills from Mexico)
Living in Germany
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach/share all my knowledge in Mexican culture, Spanish language, a little German. I will also offer you a place to crash once I go back to Mexico, don't miss an opportunity to visit, you will not be disappointed.
I am open to anything I could learn, learning a little of the local language will be nice, as well as learning about any culture or anything that could come to conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Germany made me a fan of good beer, and I find this to be a good ice breaker, possibly I will bring some with me along with my good company :)
Alternatevely I can cook a fairly decent meal. I will also invite my host to be part of my trip if possible.
