About Me
My name is Gerardo Molina, I'm 34 years old, and I'm single. I was born in Argentina, but I lived in Spain until I was 10 years old. Then my family returned to Argentina. I studied Physical Therapy and Osteopathy, and I also founded a startup with my brother, aiming to make the healthcare system a place where you can have a friendly and respectful experience, and feel safe, empathetic, and loved during those moments when the fear of suffering from an illness, either yours or your loved ones', takes hold of you.
I am someone who loves physical activity. I am a Kung Fu instructor and have been practicing for 20 years. I also greatly enjoy doing yoga and CrossFit. Where I live in Argentina, in the province of San Juan, is a mini natural paradise with a lot of mountains, so in my free time, I love to go trekking, kayaking, or take long bike rides.
I will be in Santa Monica for a few months, and my goal is to improve my English, which I believe is at an intermediate B1-B2 level. Additionally, my close friend Maria Jose recommended that I visit Santa Monica, as she had the opportunity to travel to this beautiful city as well. Furthermore, as a professional objective, I will seek to connect with healthcare companies that are also interested in working together to improve the healthcare system.
I would also like to visit, if possible, the headquarters of the Theosophical Society in the Ojai Valley, as I have been a member since 2017 and I am a practitioner of meditation and a student of comparative religions.
I hope I can be pleasant company during my time there, and of course, you will always be welcome to my home in Argentina whenever you want to visit me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined this platform for several reasons. The first one was due to a pleasant experience I had. I went trekking to a nearby mountain with a friend, and he brought along an Italian girl. When I asked how they met, he told me it was because he hosted her through this platform, and I found it wonderful. We became great friends. That's why I decided to be part of this community.
Moreover, when I was young, my parents also hosted travelers in our house when we lived in Spain. Being foreigners, I learned the concept of solidarity through my parents from a young age. I believe that's another form of love.
Lastly, my grandparents provided accommodation for a Danish guy for two years, and even to this day, he still treats them as his second parents.
With this technology, I can continue the family tradition and be part of that community of people who travel and lovingly welcome their fellow brothers and sisters from around the world

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Kung Fu if you'd like! I'm willing to learn anything, anytime, because I want to embrace all that life has to offer. I can also share my techniques of manual osteopathic manipulation to help alleviate any pain you may have. While I am currently in an entrepreneurial mode, osteopathy is a passion of mine.
