My name is Gerard Osinga, 31 years old and grew up in the Netherlands. I currently live in the city of Haren (near Groningen) and work in the city of Hengelo where I work as a customer instructor at Thales. I have a bachelor degree in Applied Physics and a master degree in Physics Education. I graduated at the University of Twente in 2014. During my studies I have been living in Ghent (Belgium), Amsterdam, and Bristol (UK). Since I've started working I'm trying to travel as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I like to make contact with locals during my trips. It offers a great opportunity to meet other people in different countries. This is also why my couch is available for others!
