ABOUT ME

i love learning, listening, smiling and seeing my country. i havn't been international yet, but I honestly have discovered a strange blend of patriotism in the past few years of traveling and I think i'd be pretty disappointed if i traveled abroad too long!

I love the american west, I've been back and forth a few times the past 3 years and its always there if i ever decide i'd like to go back, but growing up surrounded by lakes has lingering side effects.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmm. I think one's life is an organism with multiple stages, and is constantly evolving. It's hard to hold on to things too long and hard to let go of things as well, but essentially I always try to keep my focus on the "current moment".

4 years ago I wouldn't be caught dead pursuing a business degree, and now that I've worked around a bit and gained a new perspective on things, I'm deciding to go back to school for one. Constant change. owning your own experience.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not found a living arrangement that was as enthusiastic about couchsurfing as I am, so usually I've been on the surfing end of things. One day i'm going to get some land, start a farm and hopefully host some couch surfing events! (I promise i won't put anybody to work!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have used couchsurfing on a road trip from minnesota to colorado, staying a night in Fort Collins, CO, a few nights in Durango, while working with Southwest Conservation Corps, and a night in Lincoln, Nebraska on my way back home.

Intereses

i am interested in: life, farming, biking, sustainability, making the world a better place, india pale ales, cold press coffee, conservation, natural foods, travelling, simple pleasures, yoga, snowboarding, road trips, dreaming!

Música, películas y libros

Books are great, they come in and out of my life but when they are in, they are like an addiction, just consuming! Generally more often in the winter months.
Musical tastes is diverse, but I love music. from lil wayne to lyle lovett, to grateful dead, little big town. I have a favorite artist in every genre.

my first glimpe of the northern lights on an spring night in bemidji was really great. hey wow, the northern lights are over there across the lake.

i think everyone carries around allotments of knowledge learned from experiences from their lives that is unique and could benefit someone. the human experience is a great teaching tool and couch surfing is a perfect classroom.
