ABOUT ME

I'm a curly Latvian girl who thinks that we are living for beautiful moments and grand memories, not shiny things.
I never like to go with the flow. And my colleagues always say that i can never stay still. And that's true, cause i'm always searching for new experiences. So just before i turn 30, I have decided to travel around South America and meet new people, see their lifestyles, get to know new cultures, try out and learn things I've never even heard of :)

As i always say - Life is a wave. Ride it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think CS is a great way to travel even if you are not travelling. Isn't it great to meet people from all parts of the world and hear their stories while drinking a glass of wine in the backyard of your house?
Or what can be a better way to experience a city like a local? and CS is the best way to meet locals and see the world through their eyes. I love it. I've met some incredible people through CS.

I love the outdoors - be it swimming, snorkeling, hiking, fishing, canoeing, jogging, yoga, biking, surfing.... whenever i go outdoors, i become a happy person :)

音乐、电影和书籍

I love, love, love Coldplay, Chet Faker and Kings of Leon, Ellie Goulding, Ella Eyre, Joao Gilberto and Dobet Gnahore. The sound of Spanish guitar and fado singing gives me chills. But for wild dancing Latino and R'n'B will be the best :)

Some of my favourite movies are "The Intouchables", "Chasing Mavericks", "A Good Year", but for a fun and easy-going evening the series of "Friends" will absolutely do!

Books? Just don't let me go inside a bookstore if you don't want to (or if you want to) leave me behind and see me spending all my money on dozens of books :) and most probably i will be asked to leave the store, as it is way past the closing hours :D

Ehh... it's too difficult to name only one amazing thing i've done...
- the highest bungee-jump in the world in South Africa
- shark-cage diving in South Africa
- hiking Inca Trail and climbing those 2000 steps to see the sunrise in Macchu Picchu
- sand-boarding in Namibia
- diving 30m deep in Egypt
- zip-lining over river canyons in Peru
- camping under a sign "We are not responsible for any lost items or lives" in Botswana
- running a marathon in Riga
