About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make new friends in NJ.

ABOUT ME

Returned Peace Corps volunteer, love meeting people from other countries but for now I'm also trying to focus on meeting people from my country. I'm into CS because it made my recent trip to Brazil unforgettable, I never would have met so many cool people without this group!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Work in progress. But let's tackle religion and get that out of the way.
HEAVEN/HELL aren't places you are going, it's a metaphor for the life you live now. As John Milton put it in Paradise Lost, hell is the absence of God. It's a frame of mind.
AFTERLIFE
If a raindrop falls in the ocean, would you say that it is a raindrop or has it become one with the ocean? And can you fathom/understand the ocean? Not as a human being you can't. That's why I think it's pathetic when human beings claim to be able to tell say something intelligent about the afterlife.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in Rocky Hill, NJ, a quiet town near Princeton NJ and...I actually have a couch now! So I can start paying back after all of the good times I had enjoying hospitality of couchsurfers abroad in Brazil and India.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've been the surfer mostly, but I'm looking forward to hosting more. I'm in a steady job so not too much traveling for me recently...

Interests

Wave Surfing, conversation, art, live music, been playing a lot of soccer recently.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies are Macario and It's a Wonderful Life, I'm pretty sure there's another...
Love to read Dostoyevsky when I have a few months to kill. I like to read non-fiction, stuff like the news or reports, dry stuff like that.
All kinds of music, but LIVE music is the best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hang gliding in Rio de Janeiro, it really felt like the scene from Superman where he's flying with Lois.
