About Me

EAT - PRAY - LOVE
Eat: I enjoy good and healthy food for body, mind and soul
Pray: Combine the spiritual path with joy, dance and laughter
Love: I like to dive deep with an open heart and connect from the inner essence

After 18 years in ONE company, being employed as an engineer in refrigeration businiess it was time for a change. I was working in internal sales, worked for a while in Mexico in the startup of a new production site, became head of internal sales department (25 people) when I came back to Munich, went into project management and the last years I was dealing with big international projects as a change manager. But after a management change the company did not support major improvements any more, so I remembered that I always liked to travel and quit my job, looking for new inspirations.
At the same time my longtime relationship broke up and the shared house community did not work any more as a consequnce of the separation. So within 2 months life set me free completely and I thought WOW there must be something amazing, new, exciting out there waiting for me to grab it...
And so I left home, distributed alll my belongings among my friends, took the money I saved and started my journey in India with a one way ticket with the idea I might go around the world until my money is spent, I am homesick or I have found the right place for me to grow new roots, whereever this might be...

I am writing a travel blog where you can follow where I have been and might be going next. It is in German, but the fotos and maps are multilingual and there are browsers (like googles chrome) who offer fairly good translation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As described before I left everything behind to travel the world to look for new inspirations.
Meeting locals and have a glance at their life is for sure much more inspiring than just visiting touristic places and meeting other travellers. Besides travellers tend to be either much younger than me or already retired. There are few people like me, who take themselves the freedom to travel when they are just in the mddle of their life-journey.
I want to try new things, listen and talk about new things, make new experiences to discover where are the sparks of enthusiasm, joy, satisfaction. I am looking forward to light a new fire ignited by all these little sparks, coming from the variety of meeting people from different cultures, professions, age groups, religions....

Coachsurfing so far just happened to me, as I was spontanously invited in peoples homes while travelling. So now I have the impulse to make it more official and use the big network on this platform.

And I strongly believe in the principle that giving and taking need to be balanced. After a good coachsurfing visit both the host and the visitor should have the feeling to be enriched rather than drained.

Interests

Outdoor activities (hiking, swimming, diving, cycling, alpinism, .... relaxing at beautiful spots in nature),
Intentional communities (I was involved in founding one myself),
Sustainable lifestyle with less consuming of products and energy,
Renewable energies, produced, balanced and distributed decentrally,
Meditation and the feeling to be connected to "something" higher,
Tantra as a spiritual practice to use the most powerful life-force as a pathway to meditation and to the experience that everything is interconnected,
Dance improvisation (5 rhythms, Biodanza, contact-impro, waterdance, ..),
Mantra singing,
And aquatic bodywork as one of my absolute favorits!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? There are so many crazy things I have done...:
Crossed the Sahara on motorbike on my own,
Spent 10 days in a remote village in the Bolivian jungle 2 day trips away from any civilisation,
Gave up smoking while fasting for a couple of days alone in the forest,
Quiting my secure and well paid job after having done a visionquest,
Walking around naked (just dressed in red bodypaint) through downtown Munich together with hundreds of other naked people as part of an art installation

What I Can Share with Hosts

Life stories, laughing together, minor repairs in the house, give advice on saving energy, a nice meal, travel experience, aquatic bodywork session or lesson (just in case you have a warmwater pool in your house or close by...), intuitve massage, coaching on decisions in your life
