ABOUT ME

Hello beautiful human beings!

My name is Germaid.
I am a traveler, a singer, a story teller.
I am a social worker, a peace & human rights activist, an animal rights activist.
I am a healer, a witch, a medicine woman.
I am a daughter, a sister, a lover.
I am homebound but with wanderlust.
I am a child of the earth and a sister of the stars.

I am all of this and much more... like you are. I am an infinite soul longing for spiritual growth and sensual experiences... like you do. I try to follow the light of my heart, of compassion and of love...

So let's meet!

Since 2011 I am traveling with a caravan through Europe collecting folk songs in different languages, playing house shows and concerts. I played concerts from Canada to Russia, from Norway to Jordan...
In 2015/16 I traveled to India and lived in Nepal during the big earthquake of April 2015 and in 2016. I founded a small NGO to help the victims of the earthquake and to support children in schools and orphanages.
I released my latest album in May 2016. "Transformation" a double CD and a book in German language that tells the story of a young woman traveling the world... learning, growing, crying, loving...

I am aware of the fact, that music and singing is my gift I want to share with the beings on this planet. I am collecting songs and stories of the people I meet during my travels and share their stories in my concerts. That way I am building a bridge between the people of this world. Bridges of understanding and compassion which is THE important thing today! We are living in a world of awakening... out of a deep sleep of consumption, terror, war, addiction and isolation we are stepping into a new consciousness of love and compassion. Our hearts are opening up.

It's not about the ME anymore... it's about the WE!
Let's move together to a world full of love and understanding.
Let's do it for us, for our children and for Mother Earth...

Let us remember... that we are all one family, that we are all loved!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made my first cs-house concert tour to Scandinavia in 2013... it was a short but a very intense trip. I've met so many nice, kind and warm cs-people. I don't wanne pick out one experience. They were all so special in their own way...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012 I fulfilled my childhood dream and bought me a van to explore Europe and to play and sing all over the continent... So, let's get the next adventure started!

I traveled through India in 2015 and ended up in Nepal, April-June 2015. I experienced the time when the big, devastating earthquake happened there. This event changed my life completely. Together with my former boyfriend we helped thousands of people. Our friends and a lot of other people in Germany and in other places in Europe donated money to us, so we could help even more. With this money we could rebuilt a primary school in a mountain village.

Back home in Germany we opened the small NGO "be the change e.V.". We are still organizing projects in Nepal and in other places in Europe. In 2016 we went to the east part of Ukraine to help the victims of the war.

In my music I am telling the stories of the people I've met. 50% of the earning of my album "Transformation" are going to our NGO "be the change e.V.".
