Now, about me...

I've got a bit of a conflicting personality. I'm introverted, but I'll probably talk too much when I'm with people I like. I'm awkward. Definitely. I like to think I'm creative. Of course by creative I just mean messy. I wish I had more opportunities to travel but oh... the means?!

When I was young, I resented being Asian, but now, I couldn't be more proud of the fact. I like Singapore, and I'm happy to be Singaporean. (Sure, there are things that annoy me about my country... like how awful our spoken English can sound) Singapore is tiny, but it's awesome. Come visit. Singapore has amazing food, I kid you not.

Oh and lastly, I'm not really the partying sort. So if you're looking for a wild time, I'm probably not the best person to show you around, haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and lucky for me, I do get long holidays because I work as a teacher. I have been indebted to many of my hosts for the incredible kindness they've shown. Couchsurfing is an amazing platform because you get to meet locals and interact with them on their grounds. It's the best way to experience a new place. And apart from that, let's be honest, travelling isn't the cheapest activity around and couchsurfing is helpful in helping travellers save. I do hope to be able to extend to others the same help that my hosts have offered me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was supposed to go to Taiwan but due to a natural disaster there, my travel insurance paid for my ticket elsewhere. On impulse, I decided on Japan one day before the flight. I went there with no research done, no Japanese money, and only one night of accommodation booked. It was crazy, but such an amazing experience. Met so many amazing people who offered me help along the way. I had such a good time and I wouldn't trade that experience for anything.
