About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm going to spend 3 months in Australia from 15th January to 15th April 2014. My main goal is to improve my English that is required for my job

ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Germán. I'm 44 years old and I am from Spain. I lived in France, Italy and Belgium like student but now I'm living in Spain where I have my own company and run a program with US students who come to Spain to learn Spanish.

I've been working as a tourist guide, mountain guide and monitor of cultural activities for individuals and groups of different nationalities and ages for over 20 years so I am used to dealing with people and working with the public.

As a backpacker I have travelled in different countries in America, Asia and Europe. The most amazing place I've been is Uyuni salt desert in Bolivia! I love the big contrast between civilizations that allow me to learn more about the important things in live!
I have made 2 trips in mountain bike in Greece and in Morocco and it was an amazing experience!

When I have 2 o more days free I make plans with friends and drive in different regions of Spain to visit and explore the country side and the mountains.

I like also share my time with people having a bear, having a good conversation or just having a walk.

I'm a earth down guy, respectful, easy going, tidy and quiet-natured.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a backpacer traveller I have been hosted many times by people I found arround. In Granada I use to host people who I meet in Granada or friends of people I know arround the world.
My last experiences was:
- May 2014. A young couple from Switzerland who I met in my city by chance and was travelling to Africa with their bikes. I invited them at home to rest, take a shower and stay some days and finally they stood 2 weeks and a half.
- July 2014. 2 friends from France that I met in Cuba in Nov 2012. We share 5 days at home and I show them the city, the beach and the hot spring water!

Interests

I'm passionate about nature: plants, mountains, animals,... I also like outdoor sports and I enjoy trekking, skiing, biking, climbing, kayaking, swimming and diving! I'm also interested in history, art, botanic, photography, languages, music...
