Hello! My name is Germán. I am 22 years old and originally from Mexico City. I have lived in the United States for the last 10 years and have just graduated from college. I will be traveling around Europe for around five months starting in July. My goal during this trip is to learn as much as possible from the different cultures I encounter during my visit. I am a very open-minded and adventurous person, and think experiencing the perspectives of other cultures firsthand is essential towards becoming more self aware and open minded. I believe the best way to get to know a culture or country is by interacting with members of these communities. Couchsurfing is the best way to get to know people on this personal level.

Interests

I have studied painting and sculpture in Italy, and will be doing an apprenticeship with a sculptor upon my return to the United States in late December 2018. I studied Economics and Business in college, but I am currently more interested in seeing the world. Ideally, I hope to make art a part of my life and career in the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked alone through Italy for a month when I was 15 years old, after a short period of study in Florence. (mentioned above). To this day I am still puzzled how my parents let me do this.
