ABOUT ME

Hi
I am a young German/Mexican guy living in Amsterdam. Have been here for almost 7 years and am currently working on setting up my own business.
I love music (festivals in particular), traveling, design and fashion and things like that.
I have traveled a lot in my life and just can't seem to stop haha
I'm very easy going and love my friends and family very much. I don't have time for time wasters.
I like partying but am also a friend of a quiet night in with a good glass of wine, great food and great company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a couple of times, surfed a lot, met awesome people on CS and keep recommending couchsurfing to all my friends. Some still think it's weird but they just haven't realized what they're missing out on yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it's been brilliant. Have always have good hosts and good guests. Am a bit picky about who I let stay. 100 positive recommendations don't make someone an automatic host or guest for me. There needs to be a bit of a connection otherwise it might end up a bit awkward.

Interests

Eating foreign food and drinking foreign beer or wine is one of my biggest draws when I travel. I love spending time with locals or hanging out in the places that locals love to hang out in.
I don't mind doing the usual sights but for me it's much more about a combination of experience, culture, adventure and great company ... which is another reason why I love CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving, swimming with dolphins, climbing Kilimanjaro, walking up a glazier in New Zealand, travelling Myanmar (Burma) by bus, eating real Chinese food in hidden eateries in Beijing and Xi'an, helping a local Syrian taxi driver smuggle cigarettes into Jordan and dancing with Jordanian border guards to Arab pop music, doing a TV programme for a German TV station in New York, crashing a car in Jersey and getting away with it, getting mugged off my food by a greedy Emu in Australia, visiting microstates such as Transdnistria, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Jersey and San Marino, bringing back a real Georgian dagger, doing my first Hashwalk in Baku ....

Teach, Learn, Share

Extensive knowledge about traveling and as well as politics and I claim to know all the capital cities in the world by heart! ;-)
Music, books, films, art, design etc... I am interested in most things!
I can give you some real good tips on how to have a wicked time in Amsterdam.
