Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I invite you to enjoy, and appreciate my small habitation and Cassino beach, Rio Grande, south of Brasil.
I live 10min from the beach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have stayed in my house people from Argentina, Uruguay, Austria, Canada, Honduras, France, Brazil ... I had always delighted to receive them, because I made new friends, learned some new cultures, and importantly, kept believing and having confidence in people, to whom I gave the keys from my house.

Unfortunately I didn't receive, in my first attempt to be a "surfer", the same "welcome" from the European colleagues. Do not know if it's prejudice against Latinos, or if my profile is weak (even being pioneer, verified, with vouchers etc...) or some other reason. I saw many men in France, for example, accepting "only women" for hosting!!??

I feel sad anyway, but do not intend to stop receiving travelers in my house, in my city, because I believe that the spirit of couchsurfing is precisely change minds and bring people together. Even if it takes and cause some disappointments.
