About Me

Hello there ;)

My name is Germans , I'm Latvian (technically, Russian/Ukrainian, but let's keep it simple) student, currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark (how ironic is that, right?). Here I'm studying pretty strange thing -> Medialogy... and here things get really complicated as Medialogy includes film studies, physics, psychology/sociology, animation, programming and computer science... oh and graphical design.

Meanwhile, I'm writing...well, kind of trying to do so, when I have some spare time off my studies. I had a deal with a close friend that I'll hand out a 100 page story by June 2016, but... it's not gonna happen.

I am pretty introverted guy, but still like to have some fun from time to time. And I believe I have pretty nice sense of humor (not all people are agreed with that, but...well, what can I do?)

And the most important thing - I like movies very much, and this is a topic that I can discuss forever. So if you also passionate about the movies (independent) or series, we will find our way around no matter what;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During last year I admitted that even in Copenhagen my life consists mostly of routine stuff or events that constantly repeat itself over and over again. And my mind has adopted to this kind of lifestyle.

I realized that I need something that could blow (in a good way, of course) my mind. I realized I want to visit places that I have not been before, I want to meet people with different kind of backgrounds and try stuff that "scare shit out of me" (I remember one traveler said that to me)

Thus, I decided that I wanted (moreover, I needed) to go for a journey. And that's how I got here Through out this journey I met tons of cool people and I saw millions of amazing places. I started from Latvia's capital (Riga) and then got to Vilnius (Lithuania), Warsaw (Poland), Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Salsburg, Lichtenstein, Luzern, Venice, Florence, Bari, Pompeii, Rome and Barcelona. It took me about 30 days to go through all of it.

And now I'm still here to meet people ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a movie-addicted person as I stated before. The most favorite movies are Lobster, Leon , Pulp Fiction and Normal Heart. And the list can go forever and ever... ;)

Recently, I read "American Gods" - I really enjoyed this book, one of the best things that I have ever read in my life. And of course, "On the road" by Jack Kerouac. After I read this book, I decided that I want to go for a lone journey (sounds cheezy I know, I know).

Music. So I am not sure what to write here as I like broad range of music: from classics to the heavy metal, so I really cannot pick something one, depends on the mood, I guess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

AMAZING SOLO TRIP AROUND EUROPE. I had it in August 2015, I saw a lot of amazing places, I met bunch of interesting people and I faced some pretty scary things as well. It was my longest trip so far and I'm looking forward to make a new one

One summer I lived in GREECE (on the Crete island). And I was working as a Children entertainer.

I also moved to DENMARK: and this is one of the things that make me feel amazing. Even though it happened by certain random chance, I'm really happy that in the end I have posibility to be here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I am fluently speaking Russian, the first thing that I can do is to teach some language (in case, if they are interested), meanwhile, I also eager to open some new languages (maybe Spanish/Catalonian, I was so amazed by Barcelona) .

And I know Copenhagen pretty good, so I can be a decent guide.
