About Me
Hey everyone. :)
I'm Manu. I always struggle with self-descriptions because I feel like it's impossible to express the diversity of a person into a small text. I'll just tell you what's present with me right now. I recently finished my bachelor's degree in Berlin. It took me 6 years because I enjoyed it a lot in the beginning. In the end it became a struggle though. After recovering from surgery in my left shoulder I reaally crave moving (surfing mostly) and getting fit again. Travelling regularly makes me feel alive and really gives me a lot of joy. I like reading, at the moment I'm switching between fiction (fantasy and novels) and non-fiction (things that make me think and reflect).
I have also always loved lots of different kinds of music. At the moment I'm pretty deep in diverse genres of electronic music, but I also really enjoy many other genres.
_________
Apparently I wrote a bunch of quotes in my last self-description, maybe to impress you all? I kept the following one, because I feel like it simplifies life in a healthy way:
"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." -Howard Thurmann
It resonates with me because I think we overthink concepts like "purpose" and callings. Many people feel like they need to change the world or have a big impact on the world. And while I would love that too, I also think it's absolutely enough to do things that feel meaningful in some way and fill us with joy or energy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love getting to know people and their lives in all kinds of places. Apart from being too poor to really afford them, I don't enjoy stays in hotels. I'd rather explore the country and its people from a locals perspective. And I like doing the same for people that visit in Berlin.

At the moment what's most present with me is the wish to spend more days surfing and and I'm aiming to play more often as a DJ.
