(pronounced Jaerika). I'm a designer originally from Las Vegas, I followed my heart to Denver. I rescued my cat and I like to volunteer. I'm an ok dancer and I can't sing (even though I so wish I could). I am caring and respectful. I love animals and being outside. I'm an open book; ask me anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am an adventure lover who thinks too much. Not that i'm smarter than average, i'm just practical. I end up throwing my money into savings over buying a ski pass. I want to get more out of life and all it has to offer.

I have been a freelance graphic designer for the last 2 years, working at home in my pajamas. The freedom to make my own schedule has been amazing but I'm not growing enough in my field. I want to get back into an office enviroment so I figured I might as well see Oz and do some traveling before I do. The real world will still be here when I get back and I'm gonna make the most of the time away I have.

I want to try new food and laugh with people I don't know. I want to be spontaneous and go where ever; I want and see everything with only a rough plan. Let's hangout and see interesting things together.

Interests

I have always been into creative things. I love art walks, exhibitions and museums. Volleyball and pool are my sports. Hiking and other outdoorsy things are always on my list of things to do. I like eating healthy and meeting new people... and drinks- those are nice.

BOOKS
I am a big Chuck Palahniuk fan.
I own more art history, web and graphic design books than I have for just-for-fun reading; even though I am more into fiction and fantasy.

MOVIES
The Labyrinth is my favorite. I love action, comedies, and zombies movies.

SHOWS
I've seen all of Parks and Rec. Doctor Who, House of Cards, GOT, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Flight of the Concords, Arrested Development.

MUSIC
like a lot of different kinds of music. I don't really know how to explain my favorite genre. I like, Robert Delong, Glass Animals, Run the Jewels, Client Liaison, Portugal. The Man, Incubus, Silversun Pickups. There's so much good music out there and seeing live shows is always a good time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2016 I went on a solo 6 week road trip up the West Coast of the US. All the way from Imperial Beach California to Vancouver, British Columbia. It was a time for me to remember who I was and do something exciting I had never even thought about.

I am so excited to continue my travels in Australia then up to SE Asia. Angkor Wat I’m comin for you!
