About Me

I'm a German medical student until recently involved in basic research in molecular biology/genetics in the United States, though I'm on the next expedition now. Why did I go abroad? Because I'm hungry: to see the world, to experience its wonders and to grow personally. I wanted to challenge and enjoy myself in a delicate equilibrium.

I'm interested to get to know you as a person, to learn from you and your experience. I'll listen carefully what you say and ask directly, because I enjoy deep conversations and authenticity in others. I'll usually try to make you laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world and the great people in it are the spark that enlightens the search for your own boundaries - and starts the fire to overcome them. A hospitality network like CS provides both: a safe haven out there while exploring and a steady stream of explorers bringing the world to your threshold.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite first sentences: "Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think [smart] watches are a pretty neat idea."

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little about a bunch of things and try to learn ever more. The best tools we possess to achieve that are curiosity and a healthy portion of naive scepticism. I'd invite you to question my views on how to live a good life, politics and philosophy in general. I could offer some insights from the various fields I was engaged in until now, including my occupation in healthcare, public health and biological basic research as well as my fascination for competitive debate, wildlife & hunting or karate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I slice onions without crying - so I consider myself a useful cooking aidee. And I actually do all the other things necessary to create and share a great meal. Including some red wine, if you like.
