CURRENT MISSION

I'm on a very loosely planned 6 month trip. I'm not sure where it will take me but I find that exciting.

ABOUT ME

I´ve lived in a small town in Belgium for most of my life. After my studies in marketing and management it took me a while to find a job that I really liked. Probably because I don't really like marketing or management, so I found a job in the event sector. Working long and hard for a crapy wage but I loved it. Mostly because I got to visit all kind of different events like music festivals, sports games, corporate events,.... But also because I was able to travel around Europe to wherever the events were taking place.
After a few years I decided that I wanted to see the rest of the world as well. So I toke a sabbatical year, traveling from New York to Rio de Janeiro and I loved it!
So when I came back after one year I immediately started planning my next trip.

I did a few more long trips lasting between 1 and 2 years after realising I needed a more balanced lifestyle. So now I have deal with my employer that I work 6 months during the summer in Belgium after which I am free to travel the world for 6 months.

Overal I have been travelling for a large part of the last 9 years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed 2 times. Once in Chile and once in Japan but both times it was with a friend and using their account.
This is the first time I'm trying it as a solo traveler.

Interests

Sports in general but for some weird reason especially ufc at the moment
I enjoy reading whatever I can find on the road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 2,5 months hiking, hitch-hing and sleeping in a tent around New-Zealand
