Hi, I am Gesine, a German "Nordlicht", but living in the South of the country. I recently finished university. During my studies I spent one year in Detroit, Michigan. It was a wonderful experience. It is an exciting time in the city - many people are rediscovering it, new bars spring up, art is everywhere. So if you haven't been there, you should make it your next destination. It was also the place where I discovered the joy of this site, making use of the weekly cs meetup.
I can't live without my bicycle. It is my best friend and has accompanied me for 15 years now.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

While living in the US, I took advantage of the possibility to couchsurf at the places of friends. I have always enjoyed that, getting to know new people and sharing experiences. Traveling is always more fun when meeting locals. Now that I am back in Germany, I hope to give back and open my place to travelers.

I prefer to host females. I don't completely outrule hosting guys, but as a single female I feel more comfortable having another lady in my home. So if you took the time to read this and you are a man, try your luck and convince me otherwise ;)

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I spent one week on a cattle ranch in Wyoming. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Such beautiful country, almost no people, just nature and animals. I felt like a true cowgirl.
I also traveled through South America for more than 3 months. It was an incredible journey.
