About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Expand my social nexus and explore the world.

ABOUT ME

I know what it's like to be an alien abroad and enjoy providing hospitality to fellow travelers and know how timely it can be when you are on the road. Meeting and hosting people is something that is in my blood. From my experience, seeing a new place with the help of a local is much better than going it alone and provides travelers with a native lens that enriches their whole experience. I appreciate life and people and love to hear about how they see things to learn more about their culture and, in turn, my own.

So far I've lived in Eastern Europe, SE Asia, E Asia, the US., and Central America. Travel is a favorite hobby and something I'll never stop doing.

Music, Movies, and Books

When's the last time you saw a "good" movie?

Music ranges from Debussy to Dylan and Depeche Mode to Dion and the Belmonts.

Readings: Currently "the Great Game" in preparation for my new job, Steinbeck's in the USSR and Shirer's in Nazi Germany- really anything that puts me in a context I find captivating. Usually non-fiction. Favorite novel, "Shogun".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a tiger in the wild in India and was stalked by one in the Russian Far East. I spent a three weeks in Alaska alone. I slept in a hammock for a month in the American west.

Tical, Ometepe, Guadalajara Guadalajara!, Istanbul, Prague, Berlin, Krakow, NYC, Palawan, Angkor Wat, Taroko Gorge, any nice beach on any nice body of water.

Luang Prabang, Savannah, GA, the quiet country, the bustling city, camping in Colombia's Tatacoa desert, trekking through Corcovado National Park, Tokyo, Rishikesh...they're all amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I talk for a living and love to learn and share.
