My favorite books include East of Eden by John Steinbeck, The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, Harry Potter (of course) by JK Rowling, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger, and The Glass Lake by Maeve Binchy. And many others too.

My favorite movies (also numerous) include The Shawshank Redemption, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Memento, Almost Famous, Cyrano de Bergerac, and V for Vendetta (I am not usually a violent-movie type of person, although this list is making me look otherwise...)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Seeing Machupicchu was incredible, as was seeing King Tut's tomb. It's an unnerving feeling to be standing in front of something you've previously only seen in history books and realize (as you knew it must but it didn't quite hit you until now) that it somehow survived, kept on existing, after its era of greatness was over.
