Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1 semester off to travel through Latin America for 6 and a half months from Oct. '17 until April '18. If you truly want to experience a country and it’s people, staying with a local is the way to go. I want to meet local people, start conversations with them and learn from those who live in the country I am visiting. People enrich your travels more than sights do. I really want to get a feel for the pulse of a place by myself just watching day to day life happen in front of me. The smells, the colors, human interactions, and sounds. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Listen to opinions you don’t agree with. It’s arrogant to assume your views are correct and other people are wrong. Practice empathy and put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Embrace different possibilities, opportunities, people, suggestions and interests. Ask questions. You don’t have to agree, but you may be surprised what you’ll learn.
