ABOUT ME
I always think it’s hard to describe yourself accurately. You're probably better off reading my references, but on the practical side you can trust me to be a good guest and a tolerant host at the very least. I believe I can be modest without being unpersonal. The main reason I joined couchsurfing is because I realised that it takes so little effort to help travellers very much. Not only by providing accomodation, but also by providing cultural insights, making people feel like they are taking part of a culture instead of just visiting it, etc.
On the travelling side, I love the feeling of experiencing true hospitality over the calculated commercial experience of more traditional forms of travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On the hosting side, meeting wide-eyed travellers that found themselves in my rainy little province town and still think that's a great thing :P
On the travelling side, meeting locals, really experiencing the place you're travelling to through the eyes of your host, and to be completely honest, I'm a cheap-skate too :)

Teach, Learn, Share
I like languages. I'd be happy to teach you Dutch (and if you're a serious learner, I won't switch to English like most Dutch will), and I always like to learn or become more fluent in your language.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to cook. Just point me to the nearest supermarket and I'll cook us something nice. (If I'm travel-weary or broke it might be something simple :P)
