About Me

I work very unsocial hours, so I occasionally host.
..Globe-trotters but non-profiteers are more than welcome over to mine.

🇲🇶🇫🇷🇨🇦

Originally from Madinina, I was born in France, sharing that identity with Canada. My cherished Parents raised me in the most “Natural” way as a child, which has set me free this way. Thus, I always kept their Naturist character traits inside, even though I am slightly introverted about it at times. I want you to feel comfortable and at ease during your stay, but I would also be glad to welcome guests with that state of mind and who naturally feel in that free body culture. But there is no obligation at all, and whether ye come from a different background, I just want ye to be Yourself, beforehand and spend a great time when we'll meet.
I would be very pleased to naturally host you if I can.

Peaceful and flexible to embrace diverse communities, ANY wanderlust, regardless of their ethnicity, beliefs, or else, is welcome to mine. I find it enlightening to share about cultures and traditions... I have a few board games and instrument(s) that we could play if time is to be killed. That would be great.
I am very sensible about the GL🌎BAL humanity. My first-ever guest on this platform was the most Natural yogi-farmer-scout ever dreamed of. What a charming and enriching culture, even though I'm not into it. It's such a natural vision that I've finally got, out of it! I'm glad I've met such a Gem.
I enjoy something "different", the unknown, discoveries - in the sense of nonesuch. Arts, reading, writing, and self-learning to name a few, are equally pleasant and resourceful pastimes offering to unwind in delight. We might share some, at a glance, perhaps. And even though I need lone-time moments at times, I would also be pleased for us to spend time together.

Looking back in time, ever since growing up, within a Christian community by the way, access to nearby Nature was often a need, like hay or corn fields, forest immersions, and more... Hiking, cycling, wild wanders, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, and dog-sledding are all my different flirts with Nature, while observing fauna and enjoying flora around, particularly when retreating out of town for a while. As mentioned earlier, I also feel like I am part of the "Frei-Körper-Kultur" or "FKK" (Free-Body Culture) that is inside myself and certainly some of my ways of being, as previously stated, while even though having my particularities, respect for others is also part of me. I occasionally mountain-climbed, back in time, which delighted me. I was kindly introduced to skateboarding lately, which is also fun but, since I have badly injured myself... I could still take you to the most cosmopolitan SK8-park in town, or perhaps to the nearest one. Well, ye guess that London has its hidden secrets, right?!..
Even though I'm fond of wildlife and pets, none are unfortunately allowed under our roof.
The mercy of a horse, a moose, a wolf, a wildcat (bobcats and cougars included; they’re too often forgotten), and a bird-of-prey, amazes me constantly, however, I ain’t own any of those back to my little room, and in fact, I would rather like seeing them free in their natural habitat. Cats and dogs, big cats and wolves are also my likes.

..I am so fascinated by the largest of the giant carnivores on Earth.
Would you guess what majestic beauty is that? I have given ye yet a big clue...

Close Relatives and Friends of mine, even at a distance, mean a lot to me. Meanwhile, I keep a very condensed circle of Friends, and that unequal fondness even got to my Mum that my Friends and I also Family, in a sense.
I only keep cherishing the human values that my beautiful Parents taught me when I rose, and I am so grateful to Them for having instilled this in me. Ever since a tender age, I was always taught to feel happy and privileged with the smallest quantity of goods we had to share between us kids, but with pals also, even though we merely had nothing but humanity to share. Well, this is a good glimpse of what my "wealth" is made of. My richness is nothing about money or materialism, and I am glad about it.
Needless to be afraid of words, let us talk, let our true colors shine on us, and let us share. We’re all created the same, all humans. We are Humanity.
Let's do it: "Spread Love, bapp-taath-lah!" (Take6).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here for the sake of traveling the best way and meeting with globetrotters or local inhabitants. I also want to provide somewhere to crash on to fellow travelers who need it, if I can. I mostly host, but would also appreciate bedding at a local's whilst traveling around too. Added to that, CS is an opportunity to establish Friendships, depending on who we encounter. I enjoy the fun and the hospitable part of this community.

Discovering new horizons is so fascinating and I love these feelings. As well as seeing Friends of mine from time to another, that's a need for me to be with Global Communities, in a way. Of course, linking with worldwide travelers always brings a little zest of the unaccessible world along. Getting to converse with local inhabitants is equally a good way of learning about a different lifestyle whenever I am abroad, likewise with guests. Culturally, it is better to stay at a stranger's place and share with them, rather than being in a hotel room, watching a TV screen, I believe. That's richer to share with people who live differently than me, theirs or mine, this way I learn and discover more layers of the World, leaving me with precious vibes.
Ever since I was a child, my Parents often *opened their house to foreigners, which was a good thing to do. That got me used to the acceptance of The Difference and showed me that different Communities were spread all over. I recall my fascination with stoppers-by, by their geographical origins, their different gears, and styles, thus their appearance and unknown lifestyles to me. *That part of my most Beloved People on Earth would never leave me, and once more, I am so grateful and happy to get to discover new cultures through my travels, so well as through my guests and hosts, thanks to Them both my Mum and Dad. ..Them first!
I have met some truly exceptional human beings, myself most of the time hosting. I have got to say that a few of my fellow surfers became really good friends of mine. So precious and cherished friendships now! Here, is also the opportunity to travel and discover distant lands (anything out of sight could be distant) and their hoods from a local’s eyesight (either as a host or a guest, because places evolve), then again, for getting immersed into anything positive about adventures and trips. For the love of traveling, the unknown boundaries and links between us all, and also the pure beauty of Unity, harmony, and many other ways.

Interests

..Amongst so many others, I am fascinated by yoga in harmony with Nature even though I do not practice yoga. I love taking a break from the concrete jungle and spending some time in Nature.
Ever since I was a child, I have loved doing scale modeling and created my toys, such as cars, houses, and animals, from paper sheets, which I now consider as crafts. ..In my view, that passion and love for Arts and corporal expression escalates from Calligraphy, Books, Scale-modelling, Drawings/Sketches, and Silver film Photography, up to Music and Lyrics, Voices, but also Classical and Philharmonic Orchestras, Piano, Violin, Guitar, Theatre, the Movie Industry, Writing, Ballet Dancing, the Helicopter Industry (within the Aviation should I say), Wildlife, Nature, falconry, horses, only for mentioning a bunch of them at a glimpse. As it is also important for me to feel free, I love embracing the frei-körper-kultur whenever and wherever I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Real eclectic tastes in music.
Opened to varied types or categories of music, as to the World, like Traditional, Native, Classical, Blues, Motown, Vocals, Tribal, etc. Edyta Anna Górniak, Lenny Kravitz, Paolo Giovanni Nutini, Take 6, The Tenors, Portrait, Maxwell, Rahsaan Patterson, Debussy, Valérie June, Prince, Fryderyk Chopin, Donny Hathaway, Percy Sledge, Jack Johnson, John Clayton Mayer, Ben Harper, Erica Abi Wright and so much more!.. A few years back, I discovered Samana, then Tamino, which are soft beautiful blends of Cultures and Spirituality, and Oriental-Western vibes for the latter Vocalist. ..So Beautiful, truly!

"The Hunt", a film by Thomas Vinterberg, is such a powerful masterpiece to view. "La Amistad" by Steven Spielberg is another bright movie that I have appreciated, whose messages were harsh but undeniable.
Most recently, "Closer": a very sad but beautiful reflection on the acceptance and rejection of the other and the harm that it whole involves.
However, I also enjoy greatly comedies, documentary movies, limited-budget films, real stories, and biographies, with a wide approach to the industry, rather than the popular sci-fi.
David McKenna wrote it, John Morrissey produced it, then Tony Kaye directed it: American History X was another good achievement decades back, that is worth a screening.
Much more for still discovering.
Now, if you have a passion for cooking, especially French food, and love the literary French tongue, I can only recommend you to screen "The Taste of Things". That's a marvel of linguistic & culinary arts!..

I like reading Biographies, going through Encyclopaedias, eyeing Photographic books, and often keeping a small book, an Aviation, Nature, or Destinations magazine beside me at work, in case I meet unforeseen long waiting times, stuck somewhere between two locations... I truly enjoy reading Richard Munson. His writing about Nikola Tesla’s life is so captivating. I do recommend his writings. Dostoyevsky is in a sense another great writer!..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Whilst going through several severe Winters in Canada, I used to welcome (separately) on different occasions some of the homeless People around, as only wandering through town heading to work in between -39*C and -45*C temperatures (that has not been the coldest ones that I lived in), for only beginning the day, was a little tough good morning...
So I figured out that some of those people with nowhere to go and find a bit of warmth would appreciate once or twice a warm and welcoming place for a bit of sleep overnight, out of the snow and icy weather. And that has taught me so much. Yep!.. By only doing this.
I always cherished that, as some of my best and kindest souvenirs.
Witnessing the Boreal Auroras in person while in the Arctic Manitoba, Canadian North Pole, was another phenomenal repetitive beauty, in plus of the appeal for the Polar Bears, and packs of Wolves, and then being able to walk on the Artic Sea!..

Teach, Learn, Share

Always glad to learn something new, any day at whatever moment!.. I would love to get fully involved in Natural Yoga, someday.
I could eventfully teach English, French, and Kréol. I can speak a bit of Spanish and kept some Polish words lately. Some fellows tell me that I owe what it takes to teach a language... Well, I like to explain the logic of how grammatical terms work, if I can, especially if I teach English to a French speaker or French to an English speaker, using comparisons. I would love to learn Arabic, Polish, and Dutch, as well as German and Mandarin if I had all these opportunities. I am ready to learn anything exciting and would truly enjoy enriching myself day by day, truly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Shall share conversations or reflections about any societal thing or else subject, the pleasure of doing some grocery and cooking a succulent meal, either baking or making other sorts of desserts, if I can, basically the same as with my guests, respect, honesty, consideration, encouragements, advice, general help with chores, but entertaining things also and companionship, let’s say something fun, board games, pleasant and memorable time together.
I am always very pleased if I can prepare even one easy-tasty culinary set for my hosts during my stay, as they offer me their place. And to me, that dish would be one of my ways of being thankful, with my whole gratitude.
