Music, Movies, and Books
From the world of music I like the so called "world music": the music of exotic cultures, I like instrumental music like Vangelis, I like Sting and also like classical ;-) music like Beatles, Rolling Stones, Doors, and, of course, the real classical composers like Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mozart.
I like the masterpieces of Dali, the classical Leonardo da Vinci and so on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in Berlin once when the Wall was still there (1981, 1982) and years later also when it was still there but we, as being from Hungary were allowed to cross it. It was a very strange experience. Earlier we were always warned to get off the S-Bahn or U-Bahn, I can't recall, at Friedrichstrasse, before it crosses the border of East and West Berlin. This time we had a passport control and we could stay on. Very strange feeling. I think this can only be understood by people who have lived in the late, so called "socialist countries".
Next time we were there, when German citizens were allowed to pass under the Brandenburger Tor to West-Berlin. We stayed in the queue for I don't know how many hours when arriving at the gate the officer said that it was only for German citizens. So we had to go to Checkpoint Charlie to cross the wall.
