About Me
Hello! I'm a graduate student, studying landscape architecture at Harvard. I'm 28, and spent a few years working as a printmaker in New York City before I went back to school. This August, I'll be traveling around the US on a research project, visiting federal wilderness areas and interviewing wilderness professionals and advocates. I'm a lover of the outdoors, an avid hiker and bicycle tourist, I love art, architecture and design, literature and travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's been a little while since I've used CS, but I've had some tremendous experiences staying with folks that I've connected with here. I think that it's a wonderful way to travel, meet new friends and have some excellent conversations.
Interests
I chose to study landscape architecture because I am fascinated by how we interact with land—how we use it, imagine it, cultivate it, protect it, and change it, knowingly or not. I love studying plant ecology, and am interested in how the places where we live and play are shaped by, and in turn shape, natural systems.
In a previous life, I studied typography and ran a 130-year old print shop, and have a deep love of typography, the history of printing, and old machines.
I love traveling of all sorts—by plane, train, car, bike, or on foot. Some of the best, most formative experiences of my life have come from travel, and the people that I've met along the way.
