I'm a globetrotter eager to meet new people after loooooong travels around the world ... wanna share some stories ?

I like travelling and meeting different people and discovering new cultures.
At the end of my PhD I intend to go on a world trip (no idea where to start first, any leads ?) and for now I'm trying to get the most of my holidays

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best way to discover a culture, a country or a region of the world is to be immersed in it, and couchsurfing is the best way to get to know locals and share their hobbies, activities and passions.

Interests

I love travelling and discovering new cultures, hence the world tour which I hope I'll manage to get through using all the fun and interesting means of sharing , giving and receiving (#Joey) such as Couchsurfing, Wwofing, hitchhiking, volunteering, workaway ... So if you have any tips, let me know !

I've already traveled all around Europe, and most of the time I visited churchs, museums and national gardens, but I've had enough of that, and my new hobby is Trekking. Nature has become my obsession and I hope I'll manage to discover as many natural sites as I can.

UPDATE : SCUBAAAA is my life now haha (#Creed : if I can't Scuba, then what is this all for ?)

Sport is also one my favorite activities. For years I played football, now Volleyball is number 1. Of course, other sports are enjoyable too such as basketball, tennis or ping pong, but as far as I'm concerned, Volleyball is the most enjoyable one

UPDATE : love some baseball throw and catch if you're up for it ;)

And last but not least, sleeping is my favorite activity !

My favorite books can be sum up in three authors :
J.K.Rowling with Harry Potter ( especially the last 3 of them ), Dan Brown ( DaVinci Code, Inferno, Origins ...), Paulo Coelho (Veronika Decides to die ... )

One of the best movies of all time : Gladiator ( My name is maximus decimus meridius commander of the armies of the north ... ), The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean.

I mostly enjoy US Tv shows, and my favorite ones are clearly the best : Friends ( How you doin' ?), Suits ( Somebody wants to get Litt Up ) and HIMYM (Whenever I'm sad, I just stop being sad and be awesome instead ... True Story)

As far as music is concerned, everything can be enjoyable, you just have to be in the mood for it.
I'm more in Jazz, Blues and country, and most of all anything I can practise with my guitare. Reggae has become my new passion lately !
I used to like AC/DC, Metallica, System of a Down ... And I still do !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave private courses on internet to a 40 year old who wanted to be a maths teacher, after 6 months being jobless and drying his savings to zero , he finally did it, he passed the exam. By the way he was from Guadeloupe, a french island on the carribean sea (or is it the Atlantic ocean ? you get the location right ?)

aaaaaand I almost died three times in my life :O

I can teach basic notions of Arabic, French and Japanese. But mostly I can show you how to make a traditionnal Moroccan Tajine.
